Accrington ST have signed Chesterfield midfielder Luke Butterfield on loan until the end of the season. The 22-year-old joined the Spireites in the summer after being released by Everton but has made just three substitute appearances in the league this campaign. He could make his Stanley debut at promotion-chasing Walsall on Saturday (15:00 GMT). "It's an opportunity for him to kick-start his career and we hope he will take it," boss John Doolan said. Luke Butterfield made two appearances in the EFL Trophy for Everton's under-21s last season, including in a 2-1 defeat at Accrington. The signing is a boost for Accrington ST as they look to climb the League Two table.
